Where were you born?
DuBois, PA
Where is your favorite travel destination?
Hawaii is on the top of the list, but love visiting the mountains in Pennsylvania or the pacific coast.
What’s something you’d still love to learn?
I would still like to learn to properly play the piano.
What are some of the projects you’re working on?
I am working on a few projects including a new school campus for a charter that works with children and young adults with cognitive and/or developmental disabilities in grades 6-12 and beyond.
Describe our company culture in one word?
Energetic
What kind of projects do you want to work on (or technology you want to use) in the future?
I enjoy working on all types of projects, but I especially enjoy projects focused on placemaking and connection with the environment. I am deeply passionate about architectural visualization and have used it extensively throughout my career to collaborate with the design team and the client. Recently I have been exploring the use of artificial intelligence in design to generate concepts quickly, so I hope to use this more.
What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?
I am looking forward to advances in generative design and augmented reality, connecting the design process to the real world and making projects come to life well before a shovel ever touches dirt.
When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer? (Or whatever you are, if you’re not an architect/designer!)
I took a few architecture classes in high school and really enjoyed the technical yet creative nature of the profession. I ended up taking a few courses in college and decided to give it a try. Once I found 3D modeling tools like Rhino and 3DS Max I was hooked and taught myself everything I could learn about it.
What is something you collect?
I don’t collect too many things that I can’t practically use. I would say the biggest collection I have is tools for woodworking and modifications to my car.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Anything you can conceive in your mind, you can achieve.” – My dad
What is your favorite hobby?
I have a few hobbies including making music/art, building things, and working on my car.
Who inspires you the most in your field?
There is so much talent in our group that amazes me, so my team is always inspiring me to work harder and elevate my skill sets.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can make a dollar bill into a ring you can wear on your finger. I can also juggle.
Any other interesting fact about you?
I once had a song I produced played on a radio station in Indiana – a place I have only visited once and not related in any way.
