University of Tampa Palm Apartments

The Palm Apartments at the University of Tampa is the largest student housing facility on campus at over 263,000 sq ft, and over 650 beds. DSA provided full Architectural, Interior Design, and Contract Administration services for this project. Documents were developed fully in Revit to take advantage of Building Information Modeling (BIM). All disciplines including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, were developed using BIM which enabled coordination and clash detection to maximize efficiency and minimize the construction timeline.

The building was also designed to be LEED silver certified, with the integration of high efficiency appliances, exclusive use of interior LED lighting, water saving plumbing fixtures, among other efforts contribute a big savings for the university as well. The project was designed to be built as a 3-phase project that ultimately was delivered in a accelerated 2 phase delivery as requested by the University.
