This residence was unique in the fact that we were asked to work with an existing design, modifying it as requested by the homeowners and developing the technical drawings for permit. The home’s prime waterfront location meant maximizing the water views from as many spaces in the home as possible on both levels.
To open up the main living space, 14’ ceilings with large volume spaces were used, framed by a glass pane catwalk overlooking the downstairs entry and living areas. A glass pane elevator was installed to overlook the foyer as it travels between floors. This design increased visibility from all shared spaces and made the residence feel more open. We also worked with the homeowners to select interior materials and finishes for the home.
