Ongoing Collaboration

Mancini has worked with Rosa Mexicano since 2005, originally supporting their new Manhattan locations as architect of record and now as a design partner. We recently designed a “Parklet” for this iconic brand so they could expand outdoor dining offerings in the wake of Covid-19, and are now helping them add locations in new markets. The Parklet concept was designed as part of the NYC Open Restaurants program and is modular to accommodate varying size outdoor spaces at each location in which one may be installed. The structures are fabricated and installed onsite, and follows the NYC Department of Transportation requirements. The first parklet was installed by their Lincoln Center location in March 2021.

Rosa Mexicano Locations

Mancini is currently working with Rosa Mexicano on three locations outside of New York City: Ardmore, Pennsylvania (7,970 sf); Pentagon City, Virgina (5,250 sf); and Burlington, Massachusetts (5,450 sf). In each case, once project goals are defined, Mancini works with Rosa Mexicano to develop location-specific design interventions, using Mancini’s 360 Design process to experience the schematic renderings in virtual reality. The Ardmore project is expected to be complete in January 2022; the Pentagon City and Burlington projects in February 2022. We will support their ongoing needs as they seek to add more locations to the map.
