Mancini was asked to develop new, agile offices for a Global Technology Firm in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, to house their Wireless Networking Group, the largest of the company’s nine working groups. After settling on a location, Mancini was asked to provide test‑fits and together, we concluded that the best option would be to utilize a hoteling model for their workstations and conference areas.
Spread across two and a half floors, the 55,000‑square‑foot home base aims to inject a fresh perspective into the brand. Level one houses a conference center, training room and additional amenities with the upper floors containing the flexible workplaces. At the entrance to each floor, large windows, plants and seating areas create a central “courtyard” that acts as a welcome zone for staff. From there, workstations, gathering rooms and support spaces radiate out, taking advantage of the natural light. To ease their transition into the new space, we provided change management services for the client’s employees.
