University of Tampa Bob Martinez Athletic Center

Tampa, FL

We provided the Architectural Services, Visualization Services and Interior Design Services for this 55,000 SF facility remodel at the University of Tampa with a total cost of construction coming in at the budget of $4,000,000.00. The project was fast tracked, but broken into 4 different project phases, including the Health Science Human Performance Classroom Renovations, the Lobby Renovation, the Sword and Shield Room Renovation, and the Bailey’s Art Studio Façade Improvements.

All phases were designed to accommodate students occupying the building, which included completing the first story of the classroom renovation in 3 months so students could occupy the space, while construction concluded on the second-floor project. Improvements to the building included a new roof, new main entry, new exterior envelope and fully redesigned interiors.

We completely renovated the lobby to the athletics offices and gymnasiums and added a two-story study lounge with private study rooms for the students. We designed the striking Sword and Shield Room which included Design and Construction Documents for a custom 45’ tall Sword structure. The renovation concluded with a new façade face-lift on the Bailey Art Studio.
