Rutgers’ Stem Cell Research Institute was designed around an open space with four principal lab benches, each of which can accommodate four simultaneous experiments. A tissue laboratory and specialized stem cell lab are also included, along with office space for the principal investigators and graduate students. Curved forms, eased edges, table-height lab benches, and accessible storage allows wheelchair-bound researchers to work effectively in the laboratory. A wood and glass curved entry wall gives visitors a view into the laboratory.
