NYPH Pediatric Subspecialties Design

The design called for the pediatric subspecialties, including Genetics, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Child Development, Allergy/Pulmonary/Immunology, Neurology, Endocrinology, and Gastroenterology, to be divided into two independent clinical pods.

Each pod includes a nursing station, 8 exam rooms, and doctors’ consult areas. The Vital Signs area and support space is central and accessible to both pods. A colorful, sophisticated, palette of materials was used to enrich the various spaces. The waiting area features individual seating areas with murals and raised ceilings. A picture gallery corridor leads north to the administrative wing, which includes doctor’s offices, PA’s, nursing offices and staff support.
