Lehman College of Organic Chemistry Laboratory & Food Teaching Laboratory

This 972-square-foot organic chemistry lab provides bench space for approximately twenty-four students, four 4’ wide fume hoods, one reagent waste hood, an instructor station, open flat bench space for setup of apparatus, and cubbies for student belongings. Laboratory benches provide vacuum, air, gas, and water services.

The project also includes upgrades to the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as new wiring for Ethernet and phone. A new air handler/mechanical unit is located on a nearby roof.

The Food Teaching Lab for Lehman College in New York is a 2,200 square foot facility that includes lab spaces for the analysis of composition of food, a commercial kitchen area, residential style kitchens for practical study, classrooms and office areas. The food science lab includes hoods for study of acid digestion, incubators and a biosafety cabinet.  We are also accommodated an area on an adjacent roof for an herb garden.
