This project provides an upgrade to an existing Organic Chemistry laboratory, located on the 11th floor of Marshak Hall at City College. The chemistry lab provides bench space for approximately fourteen students, seven 6’ wide fume hoods, two 3’ reagent waste hoods, a rotary bench, weighing bench, and instructor station with space for a centrifuge. Laboratory benches include vacuum, air, gas, and water services. All spaces received new finishes and lighting, and the laboratory was given a seamless chemical-resistant epoxy resin floor. The project also includes a tie-in to existing mechanical systems, upgrades to electrical and plumbing systems, and new wiring for Ethernet and phone.
