AIG On-Call Agreement

New York, NY

Under a longstanding on-call agreement that began in 2005, Mancini completed a total of more than 470,000 square feet of build-outs for American International Group (AIG) throughout nine locations in New York City and eight in New Jersey, New York, and New Hampshire. Key to this relationship was assisting AIG as it transitioned its headquarters from 70 Pine Street to 180 Maiden Lane to 175 Water Street, where approximately a quarter of our work under the on-call took place. Projects at 175 included security and infrastructure upgrades, executive offices and dining on the 30th and 31st floor, a new cafeteria and servery on the 16th floor, and a conference center build-out on the 17th and 18th floor.

AIG Design

The conference center project was emblematic of our work for AIG as a whole, as it focused on catering to the client’s modern-day needs in a handsome venue on the more traditional side of things. The center offers its user base a variety of meeting options: rooms of many different seating capacities can handle meetings of any size while collaboration and entertainment areas and state-of-the-art technology capabilities can support many different kinds of events. An interconnecting stair linked up the conference center with the cafeteria on the floor below, securing these floors’ status as an amenity zone for the building. This build-out served as the model for later AIG conference center projects all over the nation.
