Mancini Promotes Jeff Anderson & Mallory Beirne to Associate During COVID-19

Mancini announces that Jeff Anderson and Mallory Beirne, AIA, have been elevated to Associate. Staying true to the firm’s unconventional approach, Anderson and Beirne were promoted despite the pandemic via a company-wide video conference call. Anderson’s elevation was the result of his dedication and innovation in the Design Lab, as well as his expertise in building software, creating apps, and mentoring staff. Beirne has demonstrated outstanding leadership on the project architecture side with her outstanding technical ability and leading projects with complex technical challenges with an eye to design.

“In the current COVID climate, Mancini continues to lead the industry by innovating new ways to approach the future of design,” explains Christian Giordano, president of Mancini. “Jeff and Mallory are integral players as we look to reimagine the future of design post-pandemic and we’re thrilled to recognize their success and commitment to Mancini—especially during these extraordinary times.”

Anderson, who joined Mancini in 2018, primarily works as part of Mancini’s Research & Development arm which takes root in the firm’s state-of-the-art Design Lab. With degrees from Princeton University and Ohio State University, he is continuously honing his interests in VR/AR applications for in-house and client facing interactions because he believes they will transform the industry in the near future. Anderson is also a professor for Pratt Institute’s Graduate and Urban Design (GAUD) program and a visiting lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.

“I was always interested in exploring the technologies that architects use—not only architectural design—which led me to making tools for architects,” said Anderson. “I’m passionate about developing new forms of interaction with people. COVID has been helpful as both a Design Lab developer and teacher pushing me to ideate new ways for people to interact and build community remotely.”

Beirne is a project architect who joined Mancini in March of 2019. Within her team, she is the liaison between the management team and the more junior staff. She works on a wide array of projects from historic renovations like 888 Broadway to restaurants and new buildings.

“One of my favorite aspects of Mancini is the collaborative nature of the company overall and my team. I thrive on being mentored by our leadership team and I also equally enjoy nurturing and teaching our more junior staff,” Beirne said. “At Mancini we are given the freedom to build our own paths, during the past year I’ve created an opportunity that I look forward to continuing to explore.”

The elevation of Anderson and Beirne ensures that Mancini continues to evolve post-COVID, continuing to push the boundaries of design into the future.
