A more pronounced integration of nature and natural systems.

Junior high – I exhausted available courses where I was making things and problem solving.

Small owl figurines.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Focus your attention and energy inward.

What is your favorite hobby?

Designing or improving little things that make my or my family’s life easier…or playing Madden.

Who inspires you the most in your field?

Anyone who can balance boldness and subtly in achieving Place.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I am considered a “super-recognizer” that can recall faces and facial patterns at a very high rate relative to the general population. I don’t always remember names, but I rarely forget someone’s face.

Any other interesting fact about you?

I am adopted, and met my birth mother and her family when I was 21. We have continued our relationship for almost 20 years.
