What’s something you’d still love to learn?

I would love to learn how to ski, I’ve never been and it’s something that’s always seemed fun to pick up.

Describe Mancini’s company culture in one word?

Authentic; every individual helps contribute to the culture of Mancini by bringing their own personality.

What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?

I hope to see more human-centered architecture. Too many buildings have become the same cookie-cutter contemporary array of boxes, oversaturating the built environment without responding to their context or creating an emotional connection to the people who experience them.

When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?

I have gotten construction or Lego themed Christmas gifts since I was 4 years old. I always knew I enjoyed building things and drawing, but I didn’t figure out I wanted to be an architect until I was 13 and met one at a school career fair.

What is something you collect?

Legos and vinyl’s! I have a collection of many Lego Architecture sets, the Notre Dame being my favorite, and I recently began collecting vinyl’s and inherited some from my grandparents.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t dwell in the past or worry about the future, all you can control is the present.

What is your favorite hobby?

I love staying active, and my favorite sport by far is tennis. It’s a fun way to get outside, stay moving, and spend time with friends.

Who inspires you the most in your field?

Louis Sullivan inspires me because he believed architecture should be both functional and beautiful. His thoughtful use of ornament and human-scaled design created buildings that served their purpose while still fostering a lasting emotional connection to the people who experienced them.
