Senior Project Architect

Where were you born?

Minsk, Belarus

Where is your favorite travel destination?

Barcelona, I’ve been there several times.

What’s something you’d still love to learn?

There is no way to know everything in the world. I learn something new about architecture, business, technologies, books and life in general every day and very much enjoy it!

What kind of projects do you want to work on (or technology you want to use) in the future?

My primary expertise is in industrial and commercial architecture, but I have always wanted to explore working on hospitality projects. I believe it would be a lot of fun!

What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?

I hope to see more attention to business orientation and the development of soft skills in college curricula for architecture and design. Additionally, I believe that professionals in our field should receive higher compensation, considering the significant effort invested in licensure, the cost of education, and the level of responsibility involved.

When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?

In high school, we had various classes including software engineering, economics, and architectural graphics, each lasting for one semester before it was time to choose a college. I particularly enjoyed the graphics classes and found myself always helping classmates with their tasks. I was during this time that I realized that I wanted to work in the design and construction industry.

What is something you collect?

I’ve recently started collecting LEGO Architecture sets.

What is your favorite hobby?

Snowboarding

Any other interesting fact about you?

Before committing to my career in architecture I was a professional athlete in shooting sport for over 10 years, and was in the National Olympic team.
