St. Augustine, Florida has been my favorite place I’ve been so far.
What’s something you’d still love to learn?
I’d love to learn sign language.
What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?
Even more recycling and repurposing building materials, furniture, and finishes.
When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?
When I was thinking about what I would want to study in school I thought back to what my favorite things to play with as a kid was: Legos, Lincoln Logs, Minecraft, and Sims, all building games so I knew I would love being in the building arts.
What is something you collect?
Running bibs from races I’ve been in.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
When you’re given the opportunity, always try something new.
What is your favorite hobby?
I got into painting in college, and I love it.
Who inspires you the most in your field?
I am very inspired by Florence Knoll for being a pioneer for women in design and creating truly timeless furniture.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can braid hair very well; it was a big hit in high school.
Any other interesting fact about you?
My best friend and I made it to semi nationals for archery in our first year trying the sport.
