What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?

I love the idea of immersive technologies, including Virtual reality, and how it’s transforming the AEC industry. I see it as a huge leap forward for projects in the conceptual stage, and can’t wait to see how it advances.

What is something you collect?

I collect a destination sticker from every vacation spot we’ve visited, and add them to our deep freezer in the garage. We love to see the stickers fill up the sides and top of the freezer with all our memories.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Life is short, make it sweet.

What is your favorite hobby?

I enjoy crafting and designing custom t-shirts, mugs, signs and other gifts for friends and family.  I also enjoy baking with my daughters.

Any other interesting fact about you?

I volunteer my spare time as a Girl Scout leader.  As a child, I was a Girl Scout for several years and loved it.  When my oldest daughter was in first grade, we joined together.  Now my youngest daughter is also involved, and being their troop leader allows me to stay connected to my daughters and their friends – plus, we get to go on fun adventures together.  I am inspired by their little minds, and enjoy watching the girls grow, learn, and change into strong, independent girls.  I am honored to be considered a role model to them, and I love bringing new experiences to my troop many of them wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do otherwise.
