What is something you collect?

I (unintentionally) collect paper pub coasters from all over the place.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

It’s not so much advice, but I asked a family member one time at what point do we start getting old and they responded, “when you stop being curious”. That always stuck with me, and it reminds me to always ask questions and be productive.

What is your favorite hobby?

I love snowboarding and recently got into surfing.

Who inspires you the most in your field?

Maybe my Great Uncle Louis, who was an architect. He was kind of crazy, but the one who even sparked the idea of joining the industry in the first place, so I guess I owe it all to him.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can drive a stick shift pretty well and prefer it to an automatic.

Any other interesting facts about you?

In high school I was a cadet in the U.S. Air Force’s Civil Air Patrol and in university I drove an ambulance and worked as an EMT-B for the campus’ EMS agency.
