New York Methodist Hospital Renovation

As the New York Methodist Hospital’s (“NYMH”) needs for beds had increased, the goal of this project was to recertify 16 beds and construct 16 new beds to the 7th floor of the Miner Pavilion on the south side of the existing corridor.

NYMH is a non-sectarian, voluntary institution, which includes an acute care general facility and an extensive array of ambulatory and outpatient sites and services. Prior to the addition of beds, the previous occupation of this area was an acute care inpatient dialysis center. In addition to the decanting of the dialysis center to the 5th floor, NYMH planned on full cosmetic upgrades to the existing patient rooms on the north side of the corridor.

When completed, the project consisted of a total of 32 med/surg beds, all-new furniture, and all-new bio-med monitoring equipment, as well as a new nurse’s station and staff lounge.
