Mount Sinai Renovation

The previous Labor & Delivery Triage area was designed prior to the current healthcare guidelines and codes, as well as privacy rules and regulations.

Mount Sinai Roosevelt asked Mancini to design a new area to provide a family waiting/reception area, private rooms, and better nursing observation. With thousands of deliveries a year and growing, the L&D Triage had become an area in need of modernization. The project consists of five new private patient rooms, a new patient toilet, and a new nurse’s station that is strategically located to support the ebb and flow of occupancy in this area. Breakout countertop areas are designed for urinalysis testing, medicine dispensing, storage of supplies, and staff charting.
