Brooklyn Army Terminal Phase V Renovation Wins 2019 Building Brooklyn Award

The 500,000-square-foot Phase V Renovation of Brooklyn Army Terminal, now complete, is adding significant job growth to the Sunset Park neighborhood. Please join us in celebrating the project winning a 2019 Building Brooklyn Award in the category of Industrial: Modernization.

“This was a significant project for our team,” explains Michael Kipfer, project manager and Mancini Principal. “Working on this project from design through construction has been an honor and we can’t wait to see how this new Phase will continue to drive growth in and serve the Sunset Park neighborhood.”

The entire Phase V renovation encompasses eight football fields’ worth of space and is designed for a diverse range of manufacturing to maker-space companies. Brooklyn Army Terminal is now poised to be the hot spot of small-business growth in the city, with a goal of creating 1,000 new jobs for the area.

Mancini continues to work on-site on renovations throughout the complex, including lobby, loading dock, and elevator upgrades.
