Teresa Lu

Where were you born?

Los Angeles, however, I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan.

Why do you like to work at Mancini?

I love how young the team’s energy is. There isn’t much hierarchy, and everyone here is very approachable.

What’s something you’d still love to learn?

There was a class called Fabricated Drawings that I never got the chance to take in school. It covered concepts from digital drawings to 3D fabrication tools. I also would love to learn French.

When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?

It wasn’t until after undergrad when I started working at my first job. I struggled through architecture school and did not like it. However, working with a great team and watching how they problem-solve made me really fall in love with architecture.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I started playing the violin when I was four years old. I took a break during architecture school; however, I hope to pick it back up soon.
