Lyndsey Moorhead

Where were you born?

New Jersey-born and raised! I grew up in Readington (home of the NJ Hot Air Balloon Festival), moved to Philadelphia for ten years, and now I’m back in Jersey, living in Red Bank.

Why do you like to work at Mancini?

I enjoy the family-like culture and flexibility.

What kind of projects do you want to work on in the future?

I’ve primarily designed workplaces during my career, so I’d love to work on a hospitality project one day. I think designing a restaurant or bar would be so much fun!

When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?

I’ve known I wanted to be a designer from a very young age. When I was growing up, I took several art classes and constantly moved my bedroom furniture around. The only thing I asked for on my birthday/Christmas list was larger bedroom windows and to knock out the wall between my room and the adjoining room. It never happened, but a girl can dream! In high school, I took a few architecture and design electives, which led me to pursue interior design.

What is something you collect?

My Dad recently shared part of his vinyl collection with me. He has an impressive array of +/- 300. Mine isn’t even close to that; however, I hope to get there one day. Do you have any hidden talents? I’m the reigning champion of “knockout” in my extended family. They probably won’t admit it, but it’s true.
