Where were you born?

Southeast of Albania, Europe. My hometown is small but has people with big hearts and warm welcoming homes.

Where is your favorite travel destination?

Anywhere on Planet Earth is my favorite, but beside my country Albania, I would choose South Africa – Kruger National Park because of the connection with nature and wildlife firsthand. The animals have so much to teach us and there is something powerful about being in a place where the earth feels truly alive and that is Africa. Another favorite is Vienna Austria, because it is a city where art, history, class, and architecture exist together. The elegance of the buildings is fascinating, the attention to detail and how the city preserves its identity is inspiring, along with many places typically in Europe.

What’s something you’d still love to learn?

I would love to learn Japanese language fluently.

What are some of the Mancini projects you’re working on?

I am working on residential projects these first weeks.

What kind of projects do you want to work on (or technology you want to use) in the future?

Anything design related, but I am specifically drawn to designs that tell a story. I would like to have the opportunity to work in hospitality projects, and fashion- related spaces where architecture and identity come together.

What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?

I want to see a future in architecture where there is more freedom to create and designers can work beyond traditional boundaries, and a future where architecture respects and meets the needs of every living being.

When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?

I was 8 when I first had the first thought.

What is something you collect?

I used to collect written letters, notes, and cards exchanged with childhood friends and my grandparents which I still have. Now I collect train/bus/plane tickets and souvenirs from events or everywhere I go.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

My mentor’s advice to never give up on my dreams, and my grandmother’s advice to be always humble and kind.

What is your favorite hobby?

Dance Salsa and bachata and learn new languages.

Who inspires you the most in your field?

Every mentor and coworker. They helped shape my journey to where I am now (especially Jeff Mulcrone, Chris Coombs and Sean Williams), and my sister.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can learn foreign languages quickly.

Any other interesting fact about you?

A fun fact about me, is that I used to translate and edit cartoons and shows from English (Italian, Spanish and Portuguese) into Albanian, in my home.
