Where were you born?

I was born in Romania, and came to the US when I was 11 years old.

Where is your favorite travel destination?

I love to travel and enjoy visiting new places. Some of my favorite destinations have been Rio, Brazil, and snowmobiling on a glacier in the winter in Iceland. Now, with two small children, I prefer going to the Caribbean for the warm weather, beaches, and great food.

What are some projects you’re working on?

I’m currently working on the NYC H&H Elmhurst Hospital Labor and Delivery Suite. I’m learning a lot about the ‘behind the scenes’ action of a hospital.

When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?

I went to Brooklyn Tech High School and our curriculum required we choose a major. I had taken a technical drawing class before and knew I liked it so I chose architecture and learned I actually really enjoyed it.

What is your favorite hobby?

Since moving out of the city I have taken up hiking!
