What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?
I hope to see architecture become even more sustainable, technology-driven, and people-centered, with the designs that improve communities while making projects more efficient and environmentally responsible.
When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?
I knew I wanted to become an architect in high school when I realized I enjoyed combining creativity with problem-solving. I was drawn to the idea of designing spaces that have a lasting impact on how people live, work and interact.
What is something you collect?
I collect coffee mugs from places I visit. Each one reminds me of a different trip or experience. My favorite one is from Egypt.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Good design solves problems, not just looks good.
What is your favorite hobby?
Exploring new coffee shops!
Who inspires you the most in your field?
I’m inspired by architects who create spaces that improve people’s everyday lives while balancing functionality, creativity, and sustainability. I especially admire Tadao Ando for his timeless and thoughtful designs.
Do you have any hidden talents?
One of my hidden talents is that I often predict things before they happen.
Any other interesting fact about you?
I’m passionate about history, which inspired me to travel to Egypt. Outside of architecture, I’m a dragon boat paddler, a coffee lover, and a fitness enthusiast. I enjoy maintaining a healthy lifestyle, although I’ll never say no to a good dessert. And last but not least, I absolutely love puppies.
