Where were you born?

One of the oldest rainforests in the world in Borneo, Malaysia.

What’s the best thing about working in this industry?

It is rewarding to create a sustainable and healing environments that promote well-being for patients and caretakers. Being part of the change, focusing on designing a new generation of healthcare facilities that is less institutional and a warmer and a more hospitality approach.

Where is your favorite travel destination?

Hawaii, Paris, Spain, Prague, Italy

What’s something you’d still love to learn?

Learn to sketch in iPad, learn REVIT, learn to swim, learn video editing, etc….

What do you hope to see in the future in the world of architecture and design?

More sustainable design / construction practice to help reduce materials that end up in the landfill.

When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?

Maybe when I was 18 when I had to choose a major. Interior design back then sounded like a modern and fun profession.

What is your favorite hobby?

Photography, music (specifically karaoke), and wandering through art museums; recently, it would be watching my 13-month-old daughter grow and rediscover the world through her eyes.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I have a photography side business, appleskyphotography.com, I also photographed GW headshot and some completed GW projects.

Any other interesting fact about you?

I am trilingual, speak Mandarin, Malay and English.
