Where is your favorite travel destination?

Astypalaia, a small Greek island in the middle of the Aegean Sea where my mother was born. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to visit the island every summer with my mother. It is our little slice of heaven. The unique architecture is part of what inspired me to pursue a career in design, which ultimately led me to Mancini, today!

What’s the best thing about working at Mancini?

This is a really interesting question for me because I started at the firm about a week into the Covid-19 Pandemic. I started 100% remote which is a very different experience in an industry where collaboration is critical. Meeting everyone through a computer screen certainly was weird at first, but everyone was great. I was instantly made to feel a part of the Mancini family, and quickly learned I was working with grounded and passionate colleagues who inspire me to be a better designer and person.

What would Spotify say is your most played song?

Definitely One Dance by Drake—it always puts me in the best mood!

What is one piece of technology you are most thankful to have?

Facetime! I’m from a large family who is all over the world. It’s so nice to be able to see them and speak with them between visits. And, it was especially great throughout the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic since it helped me stay connected with local friends and family, too. We are so fortunate to live in a time with so much at our fingertips.

What is one piece of technology you wish existed today but doesn’t?

Whatever piece of technology will get me closer to finally trying Willy Wonka’s Magic Chewing Gum. I grew up watching Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory—the Gene Wilder version—and was always awe struck by his creations. It will soon be 50 years since he movie came out and I’m still waiting! Maybe our awesome clients, Mars, can help?!

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

To “Know Thyself.” It is an excellent reminder of the truth and knowledge within us, as well as a reminder to be self-aware.
