What has inspired your career?
Growing up, I was involved in tons of local theater and often found myself drawn to the scenic and costume designers. As much as I loved performing, I had a strong desire to be involved with how everything looked. I would end up drawing my own version of how a show appeared in my mind. My interest in theatrical poster and ad design has recently taken me back to Parsons at The New School, where I am a student of their Graphic Design program.
Where are you from, originally?
I was born and raised in the San Francisco East Bay in Concord, CA. I’ve lived in NYC for over 15 years, so while I’m a bona fide New Yorker, California will always be home.
Do you have any secret talents?
I can say the alphabet backwards in under 5 seconds. I can tap dance. And I can recite the movie Clue from beginning to end.
What drew you to working here at Mancini?
I really enjoy the hands-on, friendly, collaborative environment that the company provides, and its fresh, forward-thinking vibe.
What’s the most unusual item in your desk drawer?
Several disposable tablecloths.
