We’ve been working with the asset management arm of OppenheimerFunds, a leading insurance company, since 2003. When they engaged us to restack their 300,000-sf New York City offices, it presented us with an opportunity to re-envision their space as one that reflected their unique approach to business.

As a firm with diverse teams, their financial strategies are developed from an unconventional collective wisdom, based upon a multi-disciplined range of experiences and perspectives. To respect this diversity, each group on each floor sits in a largely open plan whose densities and other requirements were selected from a set of standards we developed. Overall, there’s an emphasis on collaboration and transparency, with open sightlines, interior offices, perimeter workstations, informal collaboration zones and touch down locations. There’s also a 6,000-sf studio that supports financial news broadcasting originally done in rented studios off-site.
