Multi-Service Family Health Center Project

Brooklyn-based Brownsville Family Health Center had recently experienced rapid growth and increased need for services and retained Mancini to design a new ambulatory care community health center to serve the impoverished neighborhood of East New York.

Currently under renovation, the previously abandoned 10,500 square foot facility, on a limited construction budget, will be NYS Article 28 compliant and provide facilities for Adult Medicine, OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, Dental, and Nutrition services.

The main entry to the facility will be relocated from the basement level to the ground floor and will be defined by new floor-to-ceiling storefront windows which will flood the main waiting area in natural light.

A new exterior entryway with canopy and signage and new wheelchair access will create an inviting exterior façade. The interior will be a harmonious composition of shared waiting areas, clinical suites, administrative areas and support spaces.
