Included in the design is a separate gym building, that is completely detached from the residence; a large porte-cochere that attached two separate garages with a large apartment above; a pavillion /cabana and outdoor fireplace by the pool with a pergola at the end. Being sensitive to Florida’s natural habitats, the owner’s made sure that we kept much of the Florida native plants and trees that are abundant on the property. Lastly, the owner’s wanted to start construction on the separate gym first and then start construction on the home a year after the gym was completed. This created some issues because we needed to make sure the roof tile and other materials we used for the gym would still be available. We worked hard securing materials needed ahead of time. The entire project took 3 years to complete.
