Brooklyn Nets Training Facility
The Brooklyn Nets recently relocated their training facility from New Jersey to a former manufacturing plant and warehouse in Brooklyn’s Industry City—and Mancini Duffy played an integral role by serving as the project’s architect of record. Working with the developer, the Machete Group, and famed sports venue architect, MANICA, we helped transform this century-old building to accommodate everything the Nets need to train, including weight training and cardio equipment, a hydrotherapy and steam room, and two full-size basketball courts.
Other amenities include a rooftop entertainment area, film and meeting rooms, and a full kitchen. Inside are private general manager and coaches’ offices, and an open-office space for support staff. This 70,000-sf project, like all of our recent adaptive re-use projects, will provide value not just to our clients, but to the future as well: we’re ensuring great structures like this will stay useful for another hundred years.
