When did you know you wanted to be an architect/designer?
My teacher recognized my fondness for drawing in kindergarten. My love of art only grew as I got older and, coupled with an enthusiasm for math, naturally progressed into design.
What’s the biggest highlight of your career?
My biggest highlight is happening right now: starting up MDLX—Mancini Duffy’s interiors finishing division—together with my colleague Maureen Baker.
Where is your favorite travel destination?
Siesta Key, a small island about fifty miles south of Tampa Bay in Florida. My family have been traveling to this peaceful little spot since the ‘70s. In all that time, it hasn’t changed.
What’s the best thing about working at Mancini Duffy?
Camaraderie. We have a group of people who are equally brilliant and creative, and are always willing to lend a hand or a give a laugh.
Where would we find you on the weekend?
Ideally, it would be Prospect Park with a beer, a frisbee, some steaks on the grill, and a few friends.
What’s the most unusual item in your desk drawer?
An emergency jar of peanut butter.
