When did you know you wanted to be in marketing and business development?
I discovered I wanted to do sales and generate new business when I had my own company and started hiring people. Work is such a huge part of everyone’s life, so I take a lot of pride in creating jobs for people, especially jobs that make them happy. No matter what’s going on in your personal life, you always have people at work who care about you and rely on you to complete a task. I’ve found in my own life, work has kept me going and gotten me through some hardships.
What would Spotify say is your most-played track?
“Havana” by Camila Cabello. (I have a soft spot for Cuba.)
What’s the best thing about working at Mancini Duffy?
The people. They’re so welcoming and collaborative. And the roof deck. 😉
Best advice you’ve ever received?
The following isn’t really advice—these are more like sayings I’ve come across, both of which say essentially the same thing:
“The key to getting what you want in life is helping others get what they want.”
“Great leaders don’t succeed because they’re great. They succeed because they bring out the greatness in others.”
Where would we find you on the weekend?
Weekends are for yoga, family and friends, and travel (to the beach, if possible).
Any other interesting fact about you?
I’m a pretty private person. I try to keep business separate from my personal life. But they always seem to mesh together, probably because I love what I do. And I’ve been told it shows.
