Holland Center Mixed-Use Development

Jersey City, New Jersey

Mancini’s design for Mecca Development’s new, mixed-use development brings high-rise living to a complex site within bustling Jersey City, New Jersey. Dubbed Holland Center due to its proximity to the Holland Tunnel’s New Jersey entrance, the as-of-right scheme was developed to provide and site plan approval was obtained. The package includes design solutions coordinated with a civil engineer, traffic consultant, geotechnical engineer, and structural engineer.

Holland Center Design

As currently envisioned, Holland Center will include two residential towers, a retail and amenity podium with rooftop terraces, and parking. The 756 residential units will have access to modern amenities including: a rooftop swimming pool, in-house gym, business centers, and children’s day-care and playroom facilities.

The retail areas engage the neighborhood at the ground floor and second level, with parking above within an enclosed podium. Mancini’s plans reimagine the streetscape surrounding the property to help residents and visitors move safely in and out of the building that is directly adjacent to a major traffic hub. The complex site requires strategic coordination and collaboration with transit authorities and infrastructure stakeholders.
