Brooklyn Nets Training Facility

Brooklyn, New York

The Brooklyn Nets Training Facility relocation from New Jersey to the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn was vital to the team’s refreshed Brooklyn-based identity. As Architect of Record, we worked closely with developer, the Machete Group, and famed sports venue architect, MANICA, to transform the 70,000-square-foot top floor of a century-old building to accommodate everything the Nets needed in a new home base.

The design incorporates all the familiar elements, including weight training and cardio equipment, two full-size basketball courts, a generous locker room, and general manager and coaches’ offices. Other amenities include a rooftop entertainment area, film and meeting rooms, media interview rooms, and a full kitchen. An extensive therapy suite includes facilities that help players recover after games and during training, including a full hydrotherapy room, steam and sauna, and physical therapy rooms.
