Mancini R&D & Microfactory Highlighted At FormLabs Summit

Earlier this May, Mancini’s Christian Giordano, Michael Kipfer, and Layla Safiani traveled to the FormLabs User Summit in Boston to showcase how 3D printing has influenced our design process and provided unique solutions for our clients. The Summit brings together the top minds who are exploring the latest digital manufacturing technologies and strategies that can develop, produce, and sell products like never before.

Our team took our Microfactory of FormLabs 3D printers to the show to exhibit how we’ve used the technology to provide hyper-customized product solutions for our clients that go beyond spec to create a completely original, generative design or rapid prototyping. At the Mancini booth, visitors explored how we printed 20,000 characters in three weeks for Chaminade High School’s donor wall and got a chance to interact with a custom mock-up specially created for the Summit—for many, it was an event highlight.

At the Summit, our team learned about the latest advancements in 3D printing technology, what’s in the pipeline for the future and the new materials that will soon be available, and how to incorporate these updates into our own design process.
